Dr. Suvi Haimi is Co-founder and Chair of the Sulapac Board of Directors. With her unique expertise and passion for sustainable solutions, Suvi has led Sulapac to become a frontrunner in the fight against plastic pollution. With a background in biochemistry and medical biomaterials, Suvi combines scientific knowledge with a deep commitment to environmental stewardship.
Before founding Sulapac with her colleague Dr. Laura Tirkkonen-Rajasalo and Dr. Antti Pärssinen in 2016, Suvi worked in leadership positions for 10 years at universities in Finland and the Netherlands. Suvi received her PhD in Medical Biomaterials in 2008 and Master’s degree in Biochemistry in 2006 from the University of Tampere, Finland.
Suvi is a board member at Kiilto Family Oy, Finnish Startup Community, and Solidium. She also serves as a Venture Partner at Kvanted Ventures. In addition to the early stage development of the Sulapac material innovation, Suvi has been the key person gathering passionate people behind the company.
