Finnish lifestyle brand Papu Design’s new jewelry is made of sustainable Sulapac materials

Papu Design has launched the first ever jewelry collection made of bio-based Sulapac materials. These accessories have been designed to turn heads and stand the test of time.

Bold and playful design

Papu Design’s unique style is known for graphic prints that are bold and playful. The brand specialized originally in children wear inspired by the Nordic nature and conscious consumption. It has since branched out to women clothing due to consumer demand. The new Papu Design jewelry is an awaited addition to their fashion collections. It includes the iconic semicircles that are popular on their garments.

Recent jewelry trends have drawn inspiration from the previous decades, particularly the millennium. Accordingly, Papu Design’s jewelry combines this nostalgia with its timeless style. The result is an eye-catching collection that celebrates everyday life. However, what makes this collection truly unique is the material it is made of. Instead of using acrylic, Papu Design chose ecological, practical and visually pleasing Sulapac. This innovative Finnish biocomposite has been created to replace conventional plastic. Their design principle is to mimic nature. Thus, all Sulapac materials biodegrade without leaving permanent microplastics behind, like natural wood.

Stand out comfortably

The Sulapac materials are light and they feel pleasant. Thus, although the Papu Design jewelry stands out, it is comfortable to wear. It is finished with metal parts made of 925 silver, hence suitable for people who may have nickel allergy. The whole collection has been handmade in Finland.
